And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families" (Gen. 47:12).
In order to nourish his brethren during a time of famine, Joseph brought them from their land to Egypt. In the land of Egypt where Joseph ruled he was able to be near to and care for his entire family. Like Joseph, Jesus desires to care for and nourish the souls of all who are in the family of God. He does so as we draw near to his heart, abide under his rule and feed on his word. Are u at the place where Jesus can nourish and care for your soul? "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8).
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” Psalms 1:1-3
